Taking a Stand

So, as you may have noticed, I am OBSESSED with decorating blogs. They are my friends.

Or so I thought.

But after looking at them for the past ... ahem ... while, work is slow right now, okay? I'm left with this really bad feeling.  Like I'm not good enough and my house will never be good enough.

And I have to take a stand in the blogging world and say: COLORED WALLS ARE WONDERFUL!!!  The current trend is white on white, or beige on white, or white on tan.  Those are beautiful combinations, but what is wrong with some good ol' blue walls?!

Case in point:  I was glancing though a fabulously gorgeous decorating blog (it shall not be named) and the homeowners CRINGED and POKED FUN AT their previously orange-ish living room, which they promptly painted -- white??  tan??  I can't remember.  The sad thing was, I LOOVED the orange.  It wasn't an obnoxious orange, but a happy, mild orange.  *sigh*

So, much to my dismay (and probably to my husband's delight who is currently unaware of my decision) I am giving up my decorating blogs.  They just make me sad.

I don't think any other blogger blogs about finding a way to add their name to the bottom of posts.  But I am.  BECAUSE it's super exciting!!  :)

Totally ditched church today and didn't feel guilty about it.  What is going on with me?!  (Shh....don't tell)

 So, my library ethics class REALLY depresses me.  Like alot.  This is retake #2 and I have very little hope of getting a good grade in the class.  As in, could potentially be kicked out of my grad program.  See??  Depressing.

I've been getting depressed a lot lately.  Like ALOT.  Something's definitely wrong, but I don't know how to fix it.  Thank heavens for Jack!  I think I'd wither away without him.

To deal with the ethics-induced depression, I watched the sappiest, loveliest movie I have on my shelf.  Well, one of them.  "Return to Me"   OOOHHHH how I love that movie.

Still can't find my camera cord.  No pictures 'til then.

Thank you past posts stating that I resemble Jasmine and Bella.

I finished reading this book about two weeks ago.  It was WONDERFUL!  It's the last of the "Books of Bayern," the first being the Goose Girl -- one of my favorites.  It wasn't as good as the past books, but it was still amazing.

I finished this one last week (in two days).  I L-O-V-E-D it!  It's a super easy read and simply adorable.  It is a version of "Cinderella" which I didn't figure out until the very end.  I envisioned reading this to my baby girls -- oh it is definitely recommended.

Right now I'm reading this:

So far it's good.  It doesn't captivate me as much as a "princess" book does, but I love the imagery and descriptions the author writes.

It's national reading month.  It's almost over, so I better start to reading.  I had made a goal to read a book a week.  (I found out at the end of the first week in March, so I don't count it.)

Any MUST READ books you'd like to recommend??

Lazy Day

Third : I've only been awake for 2 hours.  Another non-surprise.

It is a lazy Saturday.  Windy, but warm.  And I have pictures...  wait for it....

I don't know where my camera cord is.  Wait for it some more.

Motivation

I made it a goal to finish painting the ENTIRE house this weekend.  You know, the annoying stuff like closets.  Our guest bathroom was obnoxious too.  That one won't be PAINTED per se...  (I'm having visions of peach, but have no peach paint).  I am, however, lacking motivation to paint corners.

Blasted corners.
